Distinguished Military Service

Raymond York’s military journey began in the summer of 1995 when he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, just two days after high school graduation. At the age of 18, he arrived at his first active-duty station in Okinawa, Japan, as a Private 1st Class in January 1996. His dedication and leadership quickly earned him promotions to Lance Corporal and later to Corporal. In Cherry Point, North Carolina, he continued to excel, earning a promotion to Sergeant, a position he held for four years.

After a brief break from active duty, Raymond re-enlisted as a Platoon Sergeant at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. His leadership and hard work earned him several prestigious awards, including the Navy Achievement Medal, Certificate of Commendation, Meritorious Masts, and Letters of Appreciation for his humanitarian missions in the Philippines and successful training operations in Norway.

Entrepreneurial Success

Following his honorable discharge in 2005, Raymond transitioned into the civilian workforce as a maintenance technician in Lake Mary. However, his entrepreneurial spirit soon led him to establish Sgt. York’s Property Maintenance in 2005, which continues to thrive. In 2009, Raymond expanded his expertise by obtaining a real estate license and later earned his broker’s license in 2020. As a result, he opened Sgt. York’s Real Estate Services in 2020 and Sgt. York’s Property Management in 2024. Today, Raymond is dedicated to the success of both businesses as the Broker of Record.

Community Contributions

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Raymond is committed to giving back to his community. He works as a contracted nuisance alligator trapper for the State of Florida, combining his skills in marksmanship and concealed carry with his passion for public safety. Raymond is also a life member of the NRA, as well as an active member of the United States Concealed Carry Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the American Legion.
