Official Rules

1. Sponsor

This contest (Home Team Hoops Challenge) is sponsored by The Home Team of ALCOVA Mortgage (“Sponsor”), located at 103 Professional Park Dr. Blacksburg, VA 24060.

2. Eligibility

The Contest is open to legal residents of VA, NC, WV who are 18 years or older at the time of entry. Employees of The Home Team of ALCOVA Mortgage, their immediate family members, and individuals living in the same household are not eligible to participate. The Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. No purchase necessary.

3. Entry Period

The Contest begins on 03/15/2026 at 8:00PM and ends on 03/19/2026 at 12:00PM.

4. How to Enter

To enter, participants must fill out a bracket at this LINK.

Limit one entry per household. By entering, participants agree to these Official Rules.

5. Winner Selection

All submitted brackets will be scored based on the official tournament results via CBSSports.com. The participant whose bracket accumulates the highest total score at the conclusion of the tournament will be declared the winner.

In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by the official tournament tiebreaker question (total points scored in the championship game) or the closest prediction submitted.

6. Prize

One (1) winner will receive a two (2) night stay at “The Bear Den,” a property hosted by Blue Ridge Escapes, with an approximate retail value of $2,000. The stay is scheduled for June 5 through June 7, with check-in at 3:00 PM on June 5 and check-out at 3:00 PM on June 7. The prize is subject to the property’s standard rental policies and availability requirements. No cash equivalent, substitution, or transfer of the prize is permitted, except at the Sponsor’s discretion. In the event the specified property or dates become unavailable, the Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value.

7. General Conditions

• This contest is independently organized and is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by the NCAA, CBSSports.com, or any other tournament organization or bracket platform.
• By participating in the contest, entrants agree to release the Sponsor from any liability related to participation in the contest or acceptance of any prize.
• The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any participant who tampers with the bracket submission process, violates these official rules, or engages in conduct deemed unfair or disruptive to the contest.

8. Platform Malfunction

If the bracket challenge hosting platform experiences technical issues, data loss, service interruption, or terminates the contest for any reason, the Sponsor reserves the right to suspend, modify, or void the Contest at its sole discretion.

9. Governing Law

The Contest is governed by the laws of the state of Virginia, without regard to conflict of law principles.

10. Winner Notification

The winner will be notified by email and phone within fourteen (14) days following the conclusion of the championship game of the tournament. If the selected winner does not respond within fourteen (14) days of notification, the Sponsor reserves the right to award the prize to the next highest-scoring eligible participant (runner-up).
