At ALCOVA, we believe that good people take care of each other. We make home a better place by improving the lives of our neighbors and responding to the specific needs of the communities we serve.
Here are a few of the causes that we support through our ALCOVA Cares initiative:
Hometown Heroes
Since 2014, ALCOVA Mortgage has recognized Veterans across their service area for their dedication to our country by honoring them with a plaque and a $500 check. Veterans are recognized not only for their service to our country, but also their continuing service to their communities.
When disasters like hurricanes and floods hit, ALCOVA is here to support our neighbors in need. From the Appalachian Mountains to the Gulf Coast, we’ve stepped up, delivering truckloads of relief and essential supplies to help bring comfort in difficult times.
Youth Sports
Our ALCOVA founders met while playing little league and believe that sports are a positive outlet for children to gain skills, develop a sense of teamwork and participate in healthy competition.
We encourage our staff to become coaches and to get involved with youth sports in their neighborhoods.
Law Enforcement & Teacher Appreciation
Each year in May, we proudly honor the heroes who serve our communities—our dedicated teachers shaping young minds and the brave police officers keeping our communities safe.
Toys 4 Tots
We believe that every child deserves to discover a little magic under their tree during the holidays. Each year, our branches and corporate staff come together to make spirits bright with our annual Toys for Tots drive.
Park It On The Market
Every student deserves the tools they need to succeed. Each year, ALCOVA Mortgage partners with Downtown Roanoke, Inc. and Roanoke City Public Schools to host our "Park It on the Market" school supply drive. Together, we aim to fill an entire school bus with essential supplies for students in need, ensuring they have what they need to thrive in the classroom. This annual event brings a lasting impact on the future of local students.
