From Military Service to Community Impact

Aaron enlisted in the military in September 1996 with a simple but powerful motivation: a love for his country and a desire to serve.

He spent four years on active duty and four years inactive, earning the rank of Corporal (E-4). During that time, he was recognized for his dedication with honors including the Meritorious Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, Letters of Appreciation, and two Meritorious Masts.

After completing his service, Aaron was honorably discharged—but his commitment to serving others didn’t end there.

Choosing to Serve at Home

Leaving the military wasn’t easy. But Aaron knew exactly where he was being called next.

He returned to his hometown with a new goal: to become a police officer and make a real difference in the community he knows and loves. “I wanted to have a family and actually make a difference in my hometown.”

Today, he does just that—serving and protecting the same community he calls home.

Giving Back Beyond the Badge

Aaron’s impact goes beyond his role in law enforcement.

He’s actively involved in programs that connect officers with local youth, including:

• Shop with a Cop
• ROCK (Reach Out Cops and Kids)

Through these efforts, Aaron helps build trust, mentorship, and positive relationships within the community.

He’s also always willing to step in and support initiatives involving children—continuing his mission of service in any way he can.

A True Hometown Hero

Aaron Kline’s story is one of continued service—from the military to his local community. His dedication, leadership, and heart for others are exactly what the Hometown Heroes Program is all about.

Our Wooster, OH team had the honor of presenting Aaron with his award.
